Dr. Rajeev Kumar Sharma, director of the Jammu health department, launched off the Kusht Mukti Abhiyan Rath on October 3 at the Kusht Ashram in Bhagwati Nagar to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti.
Dr. Sushma Mattoo, Zonal Leprosy Officer in Jammu, was responsible for planning the event. The goal of the gathering was to lessen people’s ignorance of leprosy and its effects by educating them about the disease’s origins, symptoms, and preventative measures. All of the guests enjoyed the cultural performance put on by the inmates of Kusht Ashram, which included youngsters. Kusht Ashram residents were issued a total of 15 ABHA IDs.
On hand for the event were officers and officials from the Directorate of Health Services Jammu, as well as the State Venerologist, Nodal Officer NCD, Medical Officer MMU Jammu, and Medical Superintendent of Rajiv Gandhi Hospital, Dr. Sanjay Sharma.
