Pulwama: Dr Basharat Qayoom, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Pulwama, today presided over a meeting at the Town Hall in Tral to assess the status of the blocks Tral, Dadasara, and Aripal as part of the ongoing block level evaluation of development works and projects.
Initially, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Tral briefed the chair on the different development initiatives taking place in the blocks, the handling of complaints within the Sub Division, and how Block Diwas has proven to be effective as a public outreach initiative.
The DC urged all departments to concentrate on the variety of requirements and requests in his opening remarks. However, he stressed, essential utilities and necessities should be taken into mind and done right away. requests should be registered and legitimate requests should be answered in Action Plans.
He said that while creating plans and drafting DPRs, the emphasis should be on establishing community assets rather than single works, and that all utilities should successfully fit inside DPRs.
The DC focused on task completion within the allotted time frame while conducting department-by-department reviews.
