Shopian, September 18 Today in Shopian, the District Level Rural Self-Employment Advisory Committee (DLRAC) met to discuss the results of the J&K Bank Rural Self Employment Training Institute Shopian for the first quarter that concluded on June 30. Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shopian, presided over the meeting.

RSETI Shopian’s first quarter of FY 2023–24 development was first given by Director of RSETI Nazir Ahmad. 150 applicants received training from RSETI Shopian throughout the quarter, with a settlement ratio of 55% and credit linkage of 54%. For 17 separate batches, 450 applicants were the desired number.

Speaking at the event, the ADC emphasised the need for greater departmental collaboration in order to undertake more awareness campaigns in the district and sign up more young for training and credit linkage so that the greatest number of youth may benefit from different self-employment programmes.

He emphasised the need for banks and sponsoring organisations to play a crucial role in accomplishing the goals established under different sectors for the establishment of income-generating units. In order for applicants to be able to support themselves after completing the training course, ADC also emphasised how important it is to ensure that they are placed.

District Heads of associated Departments, Lead District Managers, Chief Agriculture officials, District Sheep Husbandry Officers, District Officers from KVIB, Cluster Heads from J&K Bank, District Programme Managers from NRLM, and other Branch Heads from other banks and district officials all attended the meeting.
