On October 3rd in Srinagar, a group of expert mountaineers from the Indian Army celebrated their platinum jubilee by climbing Mount Harmukh, one of the tallest peaks in Kashmir.

According to an army spokeswoman, a group of 15 Indian Army mountaineers triumphed spectacularly during Operation “Jawala” from September 26 to September 30, 2023.

“With unyielding resolve, these intrepid men set out on a perilous trek to Mount Harmukh’s top, which towers above them at a height of 5142 metres (16870 feet) above sea level. The difficult trek, which started on September 26, “tested the limits of human endurance and demonstrated the remarkable resiliency of the Indian Army,” a spokeswoman said.
