27 September, Srinagar: From September 22nd to 24th, TRC Nowgam played host to the JK Auto X 2023 event, an adrenaline-pumping weekend that has racing fans revving their engines.
During the course of the three-day event, 100 vehicles, drivers, and a special women’s category came together. The event was organised by the Federation of Motorsports Club of India (FMSCI) in conjunction with the Jammu and Kashmir Motorsports Federation (JKMSF).
This year’s JK Auto X event included a women’s division, which attracted a large number of very skilled female drivers. This change went a long way towards empowering women and attracting more of them to the world of racing.
The autocross competition included several classes of vehicles, each designed to put the drivers’ skills and the vehicles’ capabilities to the test. The race was difficult and exciting, with tight twists and tricky portions, with the sound of engines and tyres filling the air as drivers took it on.
After everyone’s lap times were tallied, Nabeel Anwar was clearly the fastest. He won in not one but two categories, demonstrating his flexibility on the autocross course, thanks to his great driving abilities and dedication. Nabeel Anwar was recognised as the best driver in the whole JK Auto X 2023 competition, cementing his name in autocross lore.
