The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference’s newly established Horticulture and Agriculture committee had its first meeting at Nawa-e-Subha in Srinagar.

The conference, which was held to examine issues relevant to this area, was held, according to a news release, under the direction of senior leader and North Zone President Javed Dar.

Those in attendance at the meeting were members of the committee Muhammad Khalil Bandh, Qaisar Jamsheed Lone, Abdul Majeed Bhat Larmi, Saif-ud-Din Bhat, Showkat Hussain Ganaie, Mudassar Shahmiri, Khawaja Yaqoob Wani, Hilal Akbar Lone, Reyaz Khan, Irshad Kar, and Sheikh Gayas Ud Din.

Throughout the length of the conference, issues pertaining to the agricultural and horticulture industries were reviewed in great detail. During the discussion, the committee members presented their insightful opinions and suggestions. They spoke about a variety of difficulties, such as the pricey and poor quality of fertilisers and pesticides, the high costs of packaging supplies and shipping, and the competition presented by fruits from Himachal Pradesh and other countries like Iran.
