Elections for the J&K Assembly are feared by the ruling class; Srinagar city has little peace, and the current administration is lying and unwilling to acknowledge the issue.

According to the former CM J&K, National Conference has never opposed providing women a reservation. He made this statement while speaking to media in Budgam, in central Kashmir. The Women Reservation Bill is not opposed by NC. In the past, we even put it into practise in panchayats and other places’, Omar Abdullah stated.

He said that because women make up 50% of our population, they should be allowed reservations. “There are many female activists and leaders in NC. We also have a dedicated women’s wing. We have enough ladies in the Jammu area. Wherever necessary, our party may nominate female candidates, he remarked.

According to the previous CM, NC is not afraid of the Women Reservation Bill. “The current authorities behave like Betaj Badshah. They are terrified and avoiding conducting the assembly elections in J&K, he said.

He said that today is the seventh day of the Kokernag encounter, which clarifies how long J&K has had peace. “Peace is only apparent in Srinagar city; everywhere else is total devastation. In Srinagar, rulers are out and about with Miss Universe while playing golf. However, the Kokernag encounter, which appears to go on forever, might be used to assess the situation at the local level, he said.

Omar said that the current administration is lying and is not prepared to embrace truth. “They aren’t even prepared to acknowledge the issue. We will show them how to fix the issue if they have the bravery to acknowledge it, Omar stated.
