Counsel for the defendants argued for a sentence of 10 years in jail, taking into account mitigating factors, while Special Public Prosecutor AA Teeli asked the court for the maximum sentence of life in prison.

Mir and SSP Srinagar Amit Kumar, was formed and was able to quickly apprehend the two accused individuals within two weeks. (GNS)
