On July 25, Ramban: Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir said that an earthmover was struck by a landslip on Tuesday, resulting in one person dying and another receiving serious injuries.
Following a landslip that occurred as an L&T machine was excavating a road in the Sumbal neighbourhood of Chatroo, Kishtwar, on Tuesday afternoon, one person died there and another was rescued.
According to police sources, an earthmover was pushed into a canyon today in the Sumbal Kuchaal region by a landslip.
Soon after receiving information, a police squad comprised of locals and volunteers from an NGO arrived on the scene, recovered one person’s corpse, and saved another who was wounded.
The deceased’s name was given as
Abid Hussain, an inhabitant of Kuchal in Kishtwar and the son of Noor Hussain.
The wounded, named as Musharraf, a resident of Kuchal in Kishtwar and the son of Mohammad Akbar, were taken to the district hospital in Kishtwar for medical attention.
