They said that HMVs allowed to leave Qazigund, Kashmir were proceeding lawfully towards Jammu

On Saturday, the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway remained open for one-way traffic of Heavy Motor cars (HMVs) bound for Jammu and two-way traffic of Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) transporting Amarnath yatris, tourists, and passenger cars.

There was a slowdown in traffic between Nashri and Banihal, according to the traffic officials, since a few HMVs broke down and the route was too narrow at Dalwass, Mehar-Cafeteria, Ramban, and other spots.

Traffic officers reported seeing hundreds of LMVs travelling along both sides of the route, each carrying Amarnath Yatri, tourists, private automobiles, and passenger vehicles.
