The Vajr Div of the Army has chosen 34 students and would support their education with a sum of Rs 1.2 lakhs apiece, totaling Rs 40.8 lakhs. The various institutions will cover the remaining costs associated with these students.

The Swami Vivekanand Group of Institutions in Chandigarh (Punjab), Mewar University in Chittorgarh (Rajasthan), Sanskrity University, and ARNI University in Kathgardh Indora (HP) are the four affiliated universities where the students will pursue their higher education this year. A written exam and an interview were used to choose the final 34 applicants from among the hundreds of kids who applied from the Kupwara area. On behalf of the Kupwara-based Division, a “Send Off Ceremony” was held today in Durgmullah to honour these kids. The event also hoped to inspire more students from underprivileged backgrounds to seek higher education and aid in the creation of an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
