Baramulla, September 2: In order to protect the general public’s health and safety, police have detained a bakery store owner who was selling clients in the Hyderbeigh neighbourhood of Baramulla toxic and expired bread products.

Yesterday, Police Post Palhallan received reliable information that Ghulam Hasaan Sofi, the proprietor of New International Bakers in the Hyderbeigh-Wusaan Khoie neighbourhood, is reportedly selling the general public contaminated and expired bakery goods. The bakery establishment was searched quickly by a police unit from Police Post Palhalan, and during the operation, a sizable amount of cakes and expired bakery goods were recovered. The business owner was detained by the police after being arrested and taken to the police station.

At Police Station Pattan, a case has been filed in accordance with the relevant legal provisions, and an investigation has begun.
