Nov. 21, Chandigarh: Tarun Chugh, the national general secretary of the BJP, has voiced his grave worry about the vandalism of minority religious sites in Pakistan.

Chugh blasted the Pakistani government for its appalling inability to safeguard the interests of the minority population in the nation and demanded a thorough investigation into the alleged “maryada” infringement event at the Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara in that country.

He said that by permitting an act of desecration in the Kartarpur Sahib Gurdwara, the Pakistani government owed an apology to the whole Sikh community.

Given that the incident occurred at the time of Guru Nanak Dev ji’s Gurpurab, where he spent his last days, it takes on more importance.

Chugh said that Pakistan does not defend the human and religious rights of minorities and harshly denounced the country for the desecration of the Gurdwara. He called for a comprehensive inquiry into the situation and said that the Pakistani government should defend all of the holy sites of Pakistan’s minority populations, including Sikhs, Hindus, and Buddhists.
