Srinagar, October 4: Following the completion of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s 118th annual session at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, Rahul Sahai and A. P. Vicky Shaw have been reappointed as chairman for Jammu and Kashmir.

Sanjeev Agarwal, the respected National President of PHDCCI, reportedly made the choice and reaffirmed his faith in their capacity to manage the Chamber and forward its purpose, according to a statement published here.

“A P Vicky Shaw is an accomplished professional golfer and a major player in the hotel and handicraft industry, all of which are part of the Shaw’s business dynasty in J&K. Shaw, who comes from the hotel sector, “has proven to be an outstanding leader with an in-depth knowledge of the issues that face companies in J&K.”

To further demonstrate his dedication to the business and athletic areas, Vicky Shaw has also held the position of President of the Professional Golfers Association of India. Because of his commitment and enthusiasm for the city, he has been named an active Rotarian and honoured with the Paul Harris Fellowship.


Rahul Sahai, the son of the late Ram Sahai, a senior businessman, is the current chief executive officer (CMD) of the Sahai Group of Companies and also serves as president of the Transport Nagar Association of Jammu. He’s been working with PHDCCI for about thirty years.

Both Rahul Sahai and A.P. Vicky Shaw thanked Central Leadership Sanjeev Aggarwal for re-appointing them and putting their faith in them to continue leading the Chamber. They vowed to support the J&K business community and advance the economy in every way they could.

Vicky Shaw and Rahul Sahai will continue to champion local business interests in their roles as Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively. Together, they have a clear vision for the future of the PHD Chamber, and they are committed to making J&K a vibrant centre for business and industry, as stated in the release.
