The summit is being hosted by the Parliament of India under the broader framework of India’s G20 Presidency.

Srinagar, October 12: On October 13, 2023, at around 11 AM, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the 9th G20 Parliamentary Speakers’ Summit (P20) at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi.

The Indian Parliament is hosting the summit as part of India’s G20 Presidency.

The 9th P20 Summit will focus on “Parliaments for One Earth, One Family, One Future,” echoing the theme of India’s G20 Presidency. Speakers of Parliament from G20 nations and other invited countries will be present at the event. After the African Union joined the G20 in the New Delhi G20 Leaders’ Summit on September 9–10, 2023, the Pan-African Parliament will participate in the P20 Summit for the first time, according to an official handout.

This P20 Summit will have theme sessions on four main topics: women-led development; accelerating the SDGs; sustainable energy transition; and transformation in people’s lives via public digital platforms.

The 12th of October 2023 will also host the Parliamentary Forum on LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), a pre-summit event that will discuss plans for a sustainable and environmentally friendly future.
