According to authorities, a hybrid terrorist and his companion were captured by police and the army in the Pakharpora neighbourhood of Budgam district in central Kashmir.

According to a statement from a police spokesperson, the police and army detained Tanveer Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Mohd Bhat of Karapora Charar-Sharief, and Yawer Maqbool Ganai, associate of Tanveer Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohd Maqbool Ganaie of Karapora Charar-Sharief.

The pair was working in the Pakherpora region under the aegis of the outlawed terrorist group LeT/TRF, according to preliminary inquiry, the official added.

According to him, they were found to be in possession of weapons and ammunition, including a pistol, a pistol magazine, nine rounds, and other incriminating items. A case has been opened at Police Station Chrar-i-Sharief in accordance with the applicable legal provisions.
