On Monday, Special Director General of Police (CID) Rashmi Ranjan Swain said that the challenges facing the Jammu and Kashmir Police were unique because they were fighting an enemy with support from outside the country. The J&K Police is fighting for people who respect the law.

While speaking to the media after the J&K Police-organised marathon on the shores of Dal Lake, R. R. Swain said, “J&K Police is fighting against an enemy that is using outside support.” Police in Jammu and Kashmir are taking additional precautions to combat “some elements who promote violence.”

The J&K Police Department held a marathon that attracted a large number of runners. In honour of Mahatma Gandhi, the event took place on his birthday, or Gandhi Jayanti.

Former DGPs A K Suri, Gopal Sharma, and Kuldeep Khoda, together with Swain and other senior officials, presented awards and diplomas to the event’s winners.

We’re working to eliminate “the level of fear from the heart and mind of the common man,” he stated.

Swain, using Gandhi’s concept of nonviolence, said that the only way to create a state of nonviolence was to ensure that nonviolent individuals were safe from violence.

”It requires a lot of guts, as the struggle is against a few individuals from inside,” he added. Unlike other armies, “it requires a great deal of bravery” because of the absence of danger.

The first priority of the J&K Police, according to the senior officer, is to make people feel safer.

“I have no doubt that other forces have skills, experiences, and knowledge, but there are many differences between our difficulties and theirs,” Swain stated. Despite setbacks, the J&K Police are “carrying on the fight in silence, that too keeping in mind the section of society that is not heard, be it a poor shopkeeper, a low-ranking government employee, or a lawyer.”

He promised that the police force in J&K would support everyone who followed the rules to make a living.

According to Swain, “this is our message on Gandhi Jayanti.”

The Special DG said that it was important to distinguish between individuals who really wanted peace and those whose true agenda was to do harm.

That’s why we’re taking the battle to the people who project it. He said, “Our war is for the public, and we attempt to root out the degree of dread from the hearts and minds of the people.

According to Swain, the J&K Police have a long tradition of fighting criminals in the public’s best interest.

He assured the public, the law-abiding citizens of J&K, that the police force will continue to do all in its power to ensure their safety and security.
