01 August, Srinagar: Reports from Srinagar, the capital of Kashmir, say that a young man from the Banihal area of the Chenab Valley has been arrested on charges that he spread hatred and insulted faith in the city.
The police in Srinagar caught Muthair Dar, the son of Abdul Rashid Dar and a resident of Mahoo Banihal, after his video against some holy places in Kashmir went viral on social media, according to KDC. It said that a report was made at police station Shergari, and then Srinagar police acted quickly to catch the person in Banihal.
A police officer stated that Muthair Dar has been arrested and said that he has been booked under FIR 45 under sections 153-A and 295 of the Indian Penal Code at PS Shergari, where more questions are being asked.
