The traffic advise has been issued for the benefit of the general public and motorists, as well as to ensure the safe and efficient flow of traffic, as stated by Muzaffar Ahmad Shah, Srinagar’s senior traffic police officer.

There will be detours for traffic headed towards Zadibal at the Firdous Cinema, Mill Stop, Lal Bazar, Bota Kadal, and Chattipadshahi.

The advise instructed drivers heading to Soura from Lal Chowk, or vice versa, to use Dr. Ali Jan Road.

Those travelling from Zakoora to Lal Chowk, or vice versa, must use Foreshore Road.

At the Firdous Cinema, drivers heading from Gojwara to Zadibal will be rerouted onto Dr. Ali Jan road through Sazgaripora.

It said that vehicles travelling from Lal Chowk to Badamwari through Rainawari will be sent to the Kathidarwaza at Chatipadshahi.

The Kanitar-Hazratbal-Foreshore route will be used by drivers coming from the Lal Bazar neighbourhood.

To prevent disruptions, the advice asks that the public refrain from congregating in the regions where Youm-i-Ashoora processions are being held.
