Srinagar: According to a news release, police in Baramulla have detained three people and confiscated three cars in an effort to crack down on those engaged in the unlawful extraction and transportation of minerals.
As a result of their participation in the unlawful mining and transportation of minerals from the Shrai-Kulhama area of Tangmarg, a Tangmarg police team confiscated three trucks (three tippers) and detained three drivers. Khursheed Ahmad Khan, son of Ali Mohd Khan of Check Treran; Showkat Ahmad Parray, son of Gh Mohiuddin of Kulhama; and Abdul Hamid Kumar, son of Ghulam Mohammad of Paraswani Kunzer; all three are residents of Check Treran. In light of this, Police Station Tangmarg has opened an investigation and opened a case under applicable laws.
