‘Pujan’ of Shri Amarnath Chhari Mubarak is performed by LG Sinha

The ‘Pujan’ of Shri Amarnathji Chhari Mubarak was conducted today at Mahadev Gir Dashnami Akhada in Srinagar by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha in the presence of Mahant Chhari Mubarak Deependra Giri.

The Lt. Governor prayed to Lord Shiva for his protection and asked for his blessings in order for everyone to live in peace, prosperity, and happiness.

The Chhari-Pujan, performed on the auspicious festival of Shravan Shukla Ashtami, is a significant ceremony performed before the yearly pilgrimage to Shri Amarnathji Shrine reaches its conclusion.

Following the customary Chhari Mubarak Yatra on August 26, the holy Mace will be brought to the Shri Amarnathji cave.
