Chandigarh, Sep. 21 (IANS) Originating from Punjab According to authorities, the NIA-wanted criminal Sukha Duneke was killed in a gunfight between rival gangs in Winnipeg, Canada.

The Khalistan movement in Canada was led by Sukhdool Singh, a.k.a. Duneke.On the basis of false credentials, Duneke, a member of the Punjab-based Devinder Bambiha Gang, eluded capture and entered Canada in 2017.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which was looking for information regarding his illicit holdings, produced a list of 43 criminals on Wednesday that included his name.

Similar to the murder of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Surrey in June, this man was killed on Wednesday night during gang conflict. IANS tried to get responses from senior NIA officials but received no reply.
