Srinagar: The head of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum (JKCSF), Qayoom Wani, has voiced his worry over the lack of electricity in the Kashmir Valley.

Wani said that because of the lack of electricity, everyday life has become worse. According to him, because energy is off for most of the day, the business community, merchants, and students are all being impacted by the low power supply. Wani urged the administration to upgrade the electrical grid as necessary.

In the event of a power deficit, Wani encouraged the government to develop a curtailment timetable to prevent unnecessarily long blackouts that hurt the economy.
