Srinagar, Oct. 17 (KNO): The new song that Abdul Rashid Hafiz, a Sufi phenomenon from Kashmir, collaborated on with Salim-Sulaiman and Mithoon, two of the most prominent music directors in Bollywood, is blowing up the internet all across India.
The musicians Mithoon, Salim-Sulaiman, and Abdul Rashid Hafiz are responsible for the composition of the song “Meri Jaan,” which may be played in both Hindi and Kashmiri.
Asees Kaur, a Bollywood playback singer, has also contributed her voice to the song in order to sing the Hindi half of the song with Hafiz.
According to the Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Asees Kaur sings the Hindi section of the song after the poet Abdul Ahad Nizam’s opening lines.

When Hafiz performs his most well-known song, “Ya tuli khanjar to maarey, nat’e saan’i shaba roozay,” the song realises its full potential as a charming piece of music.
Salim-Sulaiman, who are best known for fusing traditional and contemporary music in their album titled “Bhoomi,” which is a musical journey, wrote this well-known Sufi tune around this time of year.
The trailer for the song was uploaded by Salim and Sulaiman on social media platforms and YouTube. They referred to the song as having one of their “enchanting melodies.”
Meri Jaan is the fourth song to be released from Bhoomi 2023, and it was composed by the incredible Mithoon. Asees Kaur performed the Hindi portion of the song, and Rashid Sahab wrote the lovely Kashmiri composition. ” I am presenting to you the fourth song from Bhoomi 2023, Meri Jaan, which was composed by Mithoon. According to a post that Salim Merchant made on his various social media platforms, “The Hindi part is written by A. M. Turaz Sahab, and the Kashmiri composition is written by Abdul Ahad Nazim Ji.”
When approached by KNO, singer Abdul Rashid Hafiz said that it is too early to discuss the song yet since it is still in the production phase.
During this time, the partnership between Hafiz and Mithoon has been getting a lot of positive feedback on many public venues, including social media.

After just three hours of being available to the public, the songs had garnered more than 9000 views on YouTube and a string of feedback from his devoted fans.
Asees Kaur, one of the singers included on the album, had this to say about the song: “So grateful to be a part of Bhoomi finally, and what’s better than Meri Jaan to start this beautiful journey?”
“Thank you to individuals like Saleem Sulaiman, sir, who provide opportunities for talented Kashmiri artists to exhibit their work.” I was blessed to be born in Kashmir, and I take great pride in being a Kashmiri. Uzair made a remark on YouTube stating that Rashid Sahib is a “living legend.”
A young man from Sonwar named Sahil had this to say about the song: “The combination of modernity and tradition in this song is a true reflection of our rich cultural tapestry.” This song is a gem, and I am in love with it; ever since it was released, I have had it playing on repeat in my head. —(KNO)
