Srinagar, Feb 26: The majority of people living in Rawalpora are taking a stand against the Power Development Department (PDD) since these regions are experiencing unplanned power outages, which has made the lives of the people living there very difficult.
According to the allegations made by residents of Rawalpora, the PDD does not stick to the curtailment timetable.
Despite the installation of smart meters, we do not receive enough electricity, according to the department’s established winter plan. An individual who lives in Rawalpora Srinagar and is the Chairman of Helping Hands Jammu and Kashmir, Aaqib Parray, said that frequent power outages had turned into a regular occurrence.
“Exams are drawing close, and since there is a scarcity of electricity, students are forced to deal with a great deal of difficulty, particularly during the night hours. The authorities have been asked to address our issues on several occasions, but they have not been able to do so, according to Aaqib Parray.
Residents of several areas within the aforementioned region have encouraged the Power Distribution Department (PDD) to upgrade the infrastructure of the power supply in order to address the real complaints of the customers. The frequent power outages have made ordinary people’s lives more challenging, especially those of students and members of the business community, for whom the annoyance of the outages has become a source of anxiety.
