Sept. 26, Srinagar: Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen, a former minister and the head of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Front (J&K PDF), has pleaded with the federal government to reinstate citizens’ democratic rights.

He reaffirmed the commitment of his party to work for the restoration of the democratic and constitutional rights of the Jammu and Kashmiri people. The main objective of PDF, according to Hakeem Yaseen, was to uphold the respect and dignity of the people and restore their constitutional and democratic rights. He made this statement while speaking to a crowd of onlookers at Khan Sahib. He gave the assurance that PDF will always be prepared to make whatever sacrifice is necessary to preserve the dignity and individuality of the populace. In order to restore the people’s constitutional and democratic rights and to allow them to choose their own representatives, he pleaded with the centre to organise assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir immediately.

In order to reduce the general suspicion and discontent among the populace, the PDF Chairman has requested the centre implement significant confidence-building measures (CBMs). He said that the people of this region want just and lasting peace, the restoration of their democratic rights, and the achievement of their political, social, and developmental objectives, all of which must be met in a loving and kind manner. He said that the relationship between the bureaucracy and the general public has reached its lowest point and that proxy administrations in Jammu and Kashmir have failed to address the issues of the regular people. The profound mismatch between individuals and bureaucracy has made issues worse than ever.
