KUPWARA, SEPTEMBER 6: Sapna Kotwal, Secretary, J & K Board for Development of Pahadi Speaking People (PSP), visited the isolated Keran region of the Kupwara district today.

Her visit to the nearby LOC region of Keran is primarily intended to engage with Pahadi-speaking locals and persuade them to register their children, particularly females, in Pahadi hostels where the government offers free boarding and educational resources to pupils.

Kotwal emphasised the importance of empowering women and educating girls when meeting with locals in Keran.

Girls who obtain education are more likely to have healthy, fulfilling lives, according to Kotwal, who made the comment at the time. They are able to improve themselves and their families’ prospects by earning more money, taking part in choices that most directly impact them.
