Bangalore, Nov. 07: In both the hard and soft zones of Jammu and Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE) is preparing to organize the yearly regular test for secondary and upper secondary students in 2024.

Regarding this, in addition to announcing preliminary dates for class 10th, class 11th, and class 12th student examinations in Jammu and Kashmir’s hard and soft zones, the JKBOSE has also announced the academic calendar for the 2023–2024 academic year.

According to the academic calendar released by Dr. Sudhir Singh, Director of Academics at JKBOSE, the process of submitting exam forms for class 12 students in Jammu and Kashmir’s soft zones will begin the third week of November, while the process for class 10 and 11 students will begin the first and third weeks of December.

According to the academic calendar, exams for students in soft zone regions in class 12 will start the first week of March. Students in class 10 and class 11 will then take exams in the second and final weeks of March.

According to the academic calendar, the results of the class 12 examination in soft zone regions will be announced in the second week of June. The results of the classes 10 and 11 examinations will be announced in the third and final week of the same month.

Additionally, the second week of April will mark the start of the yearly regular 2024 examination for students in Jammu and Kashmir’s hard zone in classes 10 and 12, with exams for class 11 children being held the final week of the month.

In hard zone locations, the results of the class 12th, 10th, and 11th examinations will be announced during the second, third, and final week of June.

Approximately 444 schools—309 in Jammu and 135 in the Kashmir division, as well as seven zones in the Kargil district and the whole Ladakh area—fall under hard zones, according to BOSE data.

43 schools in Anantnag, 19 in Bandipora, 32 in Kupwara, 28 in Kulgam, and 13 in Budgam are located in hard zones inside the Kashmir division.

50 schools in Kishtwar, 47 in Reasi, 7 in Rajouri, 20 in Poonch, 56 in Doda, 64 in Ramban, and 65 in Udhampur are located in hard zones inside the Jammu division.
