Shopian: 30 kanals of Kahcharai land are now free of encroachment

Shopian, November 9: A group of revenue officials and police, acting on the orders of District Magistrate (DM) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb, and under the guidance of Tehsildar Chitragam, reclaimed Kahcharai land from unlawful encroachment in Village Dragad of Chitragam tehsil.

About thirty kanals make up the released land. To make way for the government’s future use of the property, JCBs and chainsaws were used.

After that, the site was given to the J&K Sports Council so that they could build a stadium in the settlement.
