The DC of Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb, held a meeting of officials today to finalise preparations for the district’s Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) celebration.
During the Milad days, the DC urged police to ensure that worshippers at mosques around the district, including Asar Shareef Pinjoora Shopian, Arhama, Jamia Masjid, and others, had access to all necessary services.
He also emphasised the need for line departments to work closely together and share information in order to prevent disruptions in essential services including power, transportation management, Medicare, water, and sanitation. The DC also issued an order to have market monitoring teams led by Tehsildars established in each district to ensure that basic necessities were being sold at fair prices.
Attendees were the ADC, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz; the SDM, Zainapora; the ACR, the ACP, the ARTO, the DIO, the DSHO, the Tehsildars; the EO of the MC; the former engineer of the PDD; the administrator of the fisheries department; and the ex-engineer of the PDD.
