September 18 (ANI): Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), India Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said on Sunday that the murders of troops, including two senior officers, would be avenged amid the continuing conflict between security forces and terrorists in the Jammu and Kashmir region’s Anantnag district.

The L-G said that while his government was dedicated to preserving long-term peace in the area, the people of Jammu and Kashmir also want an end to terrorism during his speech at the event named “Hum Sab Ek Hai” at the SKICC, Srinagar.

Eknath Shinde, the chief minister of Maharashtra, was also there.

“We are devoted to preserving the state of peace in Jammu and Kashmir. The deaths of our warriors will be avenged by us. A suitable response will be delivered to those implicated, and they will pay a steep price. The whole nation is supporting our valiant military right now. Without a doubt, the people of Jammu and Kashmir want the abolition of terrorism, according to L-G Sinha.

“We should all reaffirm our commitment to eliminating terrorism in the area and addressing security-related issues. This area will contribute just as much as any other state to building a developed Bharat, he said.

Prior to this, Lieutenant General (Retd) KJS Dhillon said on Sunday that the three security personnel—two Indian army officers and one member of the Jammu and Kashmir Police—who perished in the Anantnag encounter were highly motivated individuals with extensive expertise in counter-terrorist operations.

Soldiers Major Aashish Dhonchak and Col. Manpreet Singh were quite courageous. Both had extensive decorations. They were quite skilled at counterterrorism operations, particularly in these regions, according to Lt. Dhillon, according to ANI.
