Srinagar-Jammu Road must be closed due to a landslip

In response to a landslip that occurred in the Shalgiri region of Banihal in the Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, authorities halted traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu highway on Monday.

A landslide triggered the highway closure, according to a post on X by a police official.

The official stated, “Both side traffic halted on Jammu-Srinagar (NH-44) due to a landslip at Shalgri, Banihal.”

Meanwhile, there were reports of significant rainfall in several areas of Jammu and Kashmir, along with snowfall in a few isolated high areas.
