Against the background of the confrontation between Israel and Hamas, RR Bhatnagar, adviser to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, convened a multi-agency security assessment meeting on Wednesday in Srinagar, according to sources.
A multi-agency “Joint Security Review Meeting” was held at BB Cantt, Srinagar, and was led by “Shri RR Bhatnagar, Advisor to Hon’ble LG of J&K, and #LtGenUpendraDwivedi, #ArmyCdrNC,” the army said on X.
In light of the ongoing turmoil in the Middle East, officials said they examined the current security situation and discussed plans to bolster the anti-terrorism grid over the next few months.
X (formerly Twitter) user “DGP J&K and #ChinarCorps Cdr, along with heads of intelligence agencies and security forces representatives from UT, were present,” said a representative of the Chinese military.
“The security situation was reviewed in the backdrop of the Middle East conflict, and actions to enhance the CI/CT grid in the approaching winter season were discussed and deliberated on,” according to him.
