Kangan, August 29 – On Tuesday, students from Government High School Khanan organised a protest in this city protesting the lack of available teaching personnel at the school.
The students held protests and were responsible for blocking traffic on the Kangan-Naranag route. Students who participated in the demonstration said that they are being negatively affected since there is a shortage of necessary teaching personnel. According to what they indicated, there are just three instructors accessible for around 160 children. After some time had passed, representatives from the department of education went to the school and calmed the pupils down. An official said that there would be an additional three instructors assigned to the school in order to make up for the lack of employees.
During this time, the Education department in Ganderbal has sent more instructors to the Government Higher Secondary School in Kullan, which was also experiencing a lack of employees. After the Greater Kashmir newspaper revealed, a few days ago, that the Government Higher Secondary School in Kullan lacked the necessary number of teaching staff members, the official promised that the situation would be rectified.
