Tangmarg: Mehbooba seeks a government job from her next of kin when visiting the family of a police officer

November 4, Srinagar: Ghulam Mohammad Dar, a police constable who was shot and killed earlier this week in the Pattan region of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, had a visit from PDP President and former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Mehbooba Mufti, on Saturday.

Mehbooba, according to news agency KNS, remarked, “Words fall short to condemn the killings of Kashmiris,” while denouncing the killing. With seven daughters and a wife, the deceased police officer was a virtuous person. Since the family no longer has a male member, who will feed them?

She pleaded with the administration, commanded by the lieutenant governor, to expedite the family’s SRO-43 case and provide the next of kin work in government.
