SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 26: At SKISC Srinagar, the 32nd Open Kashmir Badminton Championship 2023, presented by the Badminton Association of J&K in association with the J&K Sports Council, came to an end.

More than 300 players, both male and female, competed in the tournament. They came from age categories as diverse as Under 13, Under 15, Under 17, and Under 19, in addition to the men’s and women’s divisions and the over 35+ age group in singles and doubles.

Chief guest Muhammad Aslam, Joint Director of Information, arrived at the event escorted by Burhan Hussain, Kashmir’s Cultural Officer.

In attendance were Iftekhar Ahmad, Khazir Mohammad, Mansoor, Hilal Ahmad (Manager, SKISC), and Touseef Ahmad, the coach of the Sports Authority of India.

The winners and runners-up in several categories received gifts from the principal guest.

Areeba took first place in the U/11 Girls Singles competition, with Aira Jan coming in second. In the same way, Yeyah finished second, and Gurman Singh won the U/11 Boys Singles competition.

Aleena took first place, and Ayesha came in second in the U/13 Girls Singles division. Ibrahim was proclaimed the champion and Kamil the runner-up in the U/13 Boys Singles event as well.

Aleena finished second in the U/15 Girls Singles competition, while Mysha was deemed the champion. In the same way, Ali finished second and Salman won the U/15 Boys Singles competition.

Meezan and Ibrahim were named runners-up in the U/15 Boys Doubles division, while Ali and Salmaan were proclaimed champions.

In the same way, Zinia finished second in the U/17 Girls Singles competition, and Mysha was named the champion. Salmaan was crowned the champion and Kazim Wani the runner-up in the U/17 Boys Singles division.

Salman finished second in the U/19 Boys Singles competition, while Saqib became victorious. Hadiya was crowned the victor in the women’s singles competition, while Zinia came in second. Hadiya and Manshah were declared the champions of the women’s doubles, while Samiya and Suwaiva were recognized as the runners-up.

Uzair was proclaimed the victor of the men’s singles competition, while Adil came in second. Similarly, Musheer and Humair were crowned runners-up in the men’s doubles, with Uzair and Ovais proclaimed the champions.

Musheer and Manshah became victorious in the mixed doubles, while Fazil and Hadiya emerged as runners-up.

Likewise, Uzair became victorious in the Veteran Singles category, with Sanjeev coming in second. Uzair and Humair were crowned the victors of the Veteran Doubles, with Chesti and Ovais coming in second.
