Amarnath Yatra has been temporarily halted till the weather conditions improve, as a result of the torrential rain that fell over Kashmir on Friday along both of the routes leading to Amarnath.

The movement of Yatris towards the cave shrine has been delayed for the time being for the sake of the pilgrims’ safety owing to the heavy rain that has been falling along the Pahalgam route in south Kashmir and the Baltal route in north Kashmir, according to the officials.
