Sept. 29: Srinagar On Thursday, Dr. Sujoy Lal Thaosen, Director General of India’s Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), visited south Kashmir to assess his organization’s preparation for action.

His trip comes just after the deadly clash at Kokernag, in which a high-ranking member of the LeT was eliminated.

Other casualties were a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) named Muhammad Humayun Muzamil Bhat and two Army officials named Colonel Manpreet Singh and Major Ashish Dhonchak.

And on Thursday, the CRPF’s top official stopped by the RTC Srinagar in Lethpora and the 180 BN in the Tral region of Pulwama district.

In order to examine the CRPF’s operational preparedness and raise morale, the DG was accompanied by high-ranking commanders from the force.

The IG of the Kashmir Operations Sector of the CRPF, Gyanendra Kumar Verma, and the IG of the Srinagar Sector of the CRPF, Ajay Yadav, accompanied the DG of the CRPF.

Official: “After arriving in Kashmir, the DG visited RTC to inspect the facilities and interact with the trainees.”

He further added that the DG had spoken words of encouragement and inspiration, reinforcing the CRPF’s dedication to superiority in training and readiness for action.

Dr. Thaosen then paid a visit to the 180 BN of the CRPF, where he formally dedicated the Shaheed Mukesh Lal Meena Barrack in honour of the fallen heroes who served with distinction there.

“He lauded the unwavering dedication of CRPF officers and Jawans, praising their steadfast commitment to the security of the nation,” the source added.

The CRPF’s director general ate with the troops at Badakhana’s 180th battalion mess.

“The DG reiterated CRPF’s unwavering commitment to the security and wellbeing of the nation,” the source added.
