At a meeting held at Police Headquarters in Srinagar today, UT-wide CCTV Surveillance Project progress and status were evaluated by the Director General of Police, J&K, Dilbag Singh.
J&K, M K Sinha, AIG (P&T) PHQ, Gurinderpal Singh, SSP PCR Kashmir Showkat Hussain Shah, DySP IT PHQ Junaid Hakeem, DySP (P&T) PHQ Sourab Prashar, and Irfan Ahmed, Project Manager, IT Deptt. J&K, met at Police Headquarters Srinagar.

Suleman Choudhary, JSK Range Range Commander Shakti Pathak, DIG Rayees Mohammad Bhat, DIG Traffic Range Dr. Mohammad Haseeb Mughal, DIG SKR The conference was held through video conferencing, with participants including Jammu Shridhar Patil, SSP PCR Jammu Sargun Shukla, and Sanjay Gaden, IT Consultant for the J&K Govt.
The DGP met with top officials and the project’s System Integrator, M/S TCIL, to discuss progress on installing CCTV cameras. There was extensive discussion on many different topics, including the progress of the civil and electrical works, the installation of gear, network connectivity, and storage.
The DGP ordered all affiliated System Integrator businesses to move quickly to complete the project’s installation and commissioning.
In addition, he demanded that the System Integrator place all outstanding purchase orders right now to bring the project to full functionality.
Because the second phase of the project is already being executed, he urged the System Integrator to speed up the completion of the first.
The DGP was updated on the project’s progress by the Task Force’s Chairperson, ADGP Armed J&K S.J.M Gillani, and ADGP Headquarters PHQ M. K. Sinha. The officers also highlighted several difficulties that needed to be fixed to finish the job on schedule.
