They said that since October 15 is the first day of “Navratri,” security services had asked the BCCI to move the match to October 14.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) unveiled the schedule for the 2023 Cricket World Cup last month.

The match between India and Pakistan, longtime rivals, has been set for October 15 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium.

According to a BCCI source, “Security agencies have advised BCCI to reschedule the match date from October 15 to October 14.”

Members of the hosting venues will be present at a meeting convened by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah on July 27 where it is expected that a decision to move the match’s date will be made, according to sources.
