In Bhaderwah, the Indian Army hosted a poetry-cum-musical-and-dance event called Jashn-e-Chenab as part of the ‘Nasha Mukt Bharat’ initiative.

The purpose of the event, which included performers from all around Jammu and Kashmir as well as the bordering state of Punjab, was to divert young people’s attention away from drug usage via participation in literary and artistic pursuits.

The commanding officer of the 4th RR, Colonel Yogesh Chohan, was the guest of honour, and the other guests included the ADC of Bhaderwah, Dilmir Chowdhary.

An open mic night was followed by a poetry and music competition. Dance performances marked the conclusion of the Jashn-e-Chenab.

K Rajindra Foundation CEO Neeraj Kumar said, “We are working to free the society, especially youth, from the deadly grip of drugs.” We hold annual events with the sole purpose of spreading our anti-drug message. This year, we hosted the Jashn-e-Chenab, which included a variety of events aimed at discouraging drug use.

Talib Hussain Rind, Ravi Thakur, Sajid Sarmadi, Touseef Tabish, Aadil Farhat, Aamir Sambri, and Monika Aryan are just a few of the notable poets and musicians that graced the stage.
