Jammu, Oct. 7: The longest tunnel of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project was almost finished, which was a big accomplishment.

Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister of State in the PMO, made this announcement on social media site ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter) on Saturday.

The longest tunnel, Tunnel T-50, spanning 12.77 km, is getting ready for the 111-km-long final phase of the USBRL Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link Project from Banihal to Katra, he wrote.

This will eventually link Khari and Sumber.

The work on laying the tracks and tunnelling was finished, according to officials. Work on furniture had begun. The USBRL project is anticipated to be finished by December, as planned, according to site engineers.
