On August 24 in Srinagar, Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha launched and laid cornerstones for many Budgam District development projects in the Raj Bhawan auditorium.

The “Beautification of Budgam Town” programme was also unveiled by the LG.

The Lieutenant Governor gave a speech in which he extended his best wishes to the district’s leadership, elected officials, and the citizens of Budgam.

The Lt. Governor expressed optimism that the Budgam District Administration’s planned infrastructure development projects and amenities for sustainable living would spur healthy competition among the cities of Jammu and Kashmir, encourage the public and ULBs to improve infrastructure, and make the urban spaces beautiful and inclusive.

The plan to improve the appearance of Budgam will have a multiplier effect on the city’s economy, environment, and quality of life. He went on to say that the district’s vitality and determination shine through in these initiatives.

During his speech at Raj Bhawan, the Lieutenant Governor urged the assembled governmental officials, members of civil society, and young people to work together towards achieving the nation’s developmental objectives.

India is making progress thanks to fresh ideas and renewed determination. The moon is now within our reach. We need to think big right now. The Lieutenant Governor has called for a renewed commitment to “building a progressive society and realising the vision of smart cities, smart towns, and smart villages” at a faster pace and on a larger scale.

The Lieutenant Governor assured the people of Jammu and Kashmir that the UT Administration is dedicated to meeting their needs and is making every effort to ensure the region’s development is both equitable and long-lasting.

To improve the lives of all Indians, eliminate inequalities, and meet the hopes and dreams of every demographic, he added, “our efforts are focused on inclusive growth,” in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, and Sabka Prayas.

The Lt. Governor applauded the efforts of the District Administration to beautify the Bairam Cave in Beerwah and pay tribute to Acharya Abhinav Gupt Ji.

He praised the project, saying that it exemplified the concept of “Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi” and that its multifaceted approach will contribute to establishing Beerwah as an important tourism hub.

Budgam District Development Council Chairman Nazir Ahmad Khan has thanked the Lt. Governor-led UT Administration for its efforts to bring about local improvement.

Public and Children’s Parks Near Charar-e-Sharief Shrine; Renovation and Beautification Works for Bairam Hill Cave in Beerwah, Budgam; Jogger’s Park in MC Chadoora; Water Supply Scheme in Harinoo; and a New Type Primary Health Centre in Choon are among the projects that the Lt. Governor has inaugurated today.

Transit Accommodation at Kakanmaran, Budgam; New Bus Adda Chadoora; Modernization of DC Office Complex; Water Supply Scheme, Gundipora, Beerwah; and Construction of 19 new Panchayat Ghars around Budgam were among the projects whose cornerstones were set.

The Lt. Governor also gave out sports equipment to the youngsters of Budgam who are less fortunate, as well as smartphones and smart kits.
