Predictions for August 26 indicate overcast skies with a chance of mild to moderate rain in a few locations.

According to a report from the Meteorological Department in Srinagar on Friday, “rain over higher reaches may generate landslides and flash floods in vulnerable spots at lower catchment areas” until August 26.

According to GNS, citing a meteorological department official, overcast conditions are forecast in J&K over the next 24 hours, with the chance of light to moderate rain falling in isolated locations.

Throughout the day on August 26th, he stated, clouds are likely with a chance of “intermittent light to moderate rain at scattered places.

Rain over the upper reaches may cause landslides and flash floods in susceptible regions in lower catchment areas, he added; therefore, “all concerned” should exercise caution on August 25 and 26, even if there is no prediction of severe rain.

He predicted partly to mostly overcast conditions for the 27th and 28th of August.
