Senior political figures in Kashmir, including Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Omar Abdullah, Mehbooba Mufti, and Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, have expressed their sorrow at the passing of Imam-e-Ziyarat Makhdoom Sahab Haji Ali Muhammad Maqdoomi Raina. The announcement was made on August 21 in Srinagar.
Dr. Farooq Abdullah, President of the National Conference Party and Representative for Srinagar in Parliament, and Omar Abdullah, Vice President of the National Conference Party, have both expressed their sorrow on his passing.
They prayed for the soul of the deceased to rest in peace and asked for the much-needed strength to help the grieving deal with their loss.
Dr. Farooq paid a visit to the bereaved family in Srinagar, close to the Makhdoom Sahib Shrine, in order to express his sympathies. He was joined by the Provincial President, Nasir Aslam Wani, as well as the Chief Spokesperson, Tanvir Sadiq. On this occasion, he said the Fatiha prayer for the dead and prayed for the soul of the departed to find rest in the highest levels of the Jannat. He was joined in his prayers by party officials.
According to a press statement, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is inconsolable after learning of the untimely passing of Imam e Ziyarat Makhdoom Sahib, Haji Ali Muhammad Makhdoomi.
“An esteemed spiritual leader and religious scholar, Imam e Ziyarat Makhdoom Sahib’s departure has left a profound void in the hearts of countless individuals who were touched by his teachings and guidance,” it said in the statement. “His passing has left a profound void in the hearts of countless individuals.”
PDP President Mehbooba Mufti extended her profound condolences and added, “We are deeply saddened to hear about the sad demise of Imam e Ziyarat Makhdoom Sahib, Peezada Haji Ali Muhammad Makhdoomi.” In doing so, she paid tribute to the life and legacy of Haji Ali Muhammad Makhdoomi. He was a devout man and a learned study of religion, and the advice he gave has had an everlasting influence on the lives of many others. Many people have found encouragement and comfort in the lessons and spiritual insights that he has shared.
According to what Mehbooba stated, “During this difficult time, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and followers.”
Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, the President of the Apni Party, has expressed his condolences on the loss of Peezada Haji Ali Muhammad Makhdoomi. Peezada Haji Ali Muhammad Makhdoomi was revered for his role as Imam-e-Ziyarat at Makhdoom Sahib. His last breath was taken on Monday afternoon in the comfort of his home in Srinagar.
In the message of condolence that he sent, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari expressed his profound sadness at the passing of Peezada and said, “I am profoundly saddened by the news of the demise of Peezada Haji Ali Muhammad Makhdoomi Sahib—an embodiment of piety, who dedicated his entire life to the fulfilment of religious obligations.” He served with diligence in the mosque of the famed Sufi Saint Makdoom Sahab for a number of decades. In the name of Allah, we ask that you make our lives easy. May Allah elevate his abode in Jannah to the loftiest level possible. His bereaved family and the followers of Hazrat Sultan-ul-Arifeen have my deepest sympathies.
