Manoj Monday, the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, claimed that the government will foot the price for the poor man’s electricity, but that people with mansions, I-Phones with 5G connectivity, and other high-tech equipment would be charged a higher rate.

The government will help the impoverished who are unable to pay their expenses, I am announcing today. On the other hand, individuals who consume a lot of electricity because they have mansions, iPhones with 5G Internet, and other devices would be charged accordingly. The LG made this statement to a group of people at the Mini-Secretariat in the Kulgam region in the south. But he didn’t go into detail about it, either.

The same amount of electricity that was created locally in J&K during the last 70 years will be generated over the next three years, he claimed.

Wherever a feeder is fully metered, the LG warned that there will be a significant outage lasting more than an hour.

He then pleaded with the public for their help in installing the smart metres as quickly as feasible.

The LG claimed that the cost of power in J&K was the lowest of any state. We’ve borrowed almost Rs 20,000,000,000 in power from other countries during the previous three to four years. Not acceptable. The public, he said, should be charged based on their actual consumption.

The J-K’s mountainous terrain and frequent snowfall cause delays in several construction projects. We have inherited a propensity for finishing projects late, and it is our goal to put an end to that practise’, he said.

While the income of J&K farmers is now ranked fifth in the nation, he predicted that in the not-too-distant future, “our farmer’s income will be number 1.”
