Qazigund, September 22: In an accident in the Levdora region of Qazigund on the Jammu-Srinagar route in the Kulgam district, a motorist was killed and six family members were wounded.
A car with the number plate number (JK06B 0901) was involved in a collision with a truck near the Walnut plant in Qazigund, according to a report from the news outlet Kashmir News Observer (KNO).
After the collision, all seven people in the Echo were sent to the Emergency Hospital in Qazigund for treatment of their injuries.
Among them was a driver named Maroof Ahmad Bhat, he added; Bhat was the son of Niyaz Ahmad Bhat, a local of Doda.
He named Doda residents Ghulam Qadir Bhat, son of Mohammad Abdullah, Mohammad Niyaz Bhat, son of Ghulam Qadir, Mumtaz Ahmad Bhat, son of Ghulam Qadir, Mubeena Begum, wife of Niyaz Ahmad Bhat, daughter Mehvish Akhter, son Maroof Mumtaz Bhat, and daughter Absha Banoo as the injured.
Official: “A case has been registered at the Qazigund Police Station under FIR number 206/23 under sections 279, 337 IPC and further investigation has begun.”
