SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 19: The Administrative Council (AC), which met in this city under the leadership of the Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, approved the transfer of land measuring 04 Kanals at Bangi Nowgam, Anantnag, in favour of the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj for the establishment of the Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI).

The meeting was attended by Dr. Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, Dr. Arun Kumar Mehta, Chief Secretary, J&K, and Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar, Advisor to the Lieutenant Governor.

An initiative of the Ministry of Rural growth (MoRD), Government of India, the Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), intends to construct specialised infrastructure in each district of the nation to provide training and skill up-gradation of rural youth targeted towards entrepreneurial growth. Banks are in charge of managing RSETIs with the Government of India and State Governments’ active assistance.

These provide skill development initiatives via a variety of channels. The shows include topics including agriculture, product programmes (such clothing, design, and baking), vehicles, radio/TV repairs, and other skill-development-related programmes as well as general programmes for women.
