The searches are associated with the inquiry into the death of Sanjay Sharma, who worked as an ATM guard for a bank.

On Tuesday, July 18th, an official from Srinagar said that agents from the State Investigation Agency (SIA) Kashmir had conducted searches across three districts in South Kashmir.

According to a news source citing an official, SIA agents are now conducting searches in all three districts with the help of local law enforcement and the paramilitary CRPF.

“The searches are underway in the Chakoora and Shirmal areas of Shopian, the Qaimoh area of Kulgam, and the main town of Anantnag in South Kashmir,” he added.

He said that the searches are connected to the probe into the death of Sanjay Sharma, a bank ATM guard who was murdered by terrorists in February in Achan Pulwama.
