For the current engagement, the Indian Army’s Para Special authorities have been sent for a search and destroy operation, according to security authorities.

Three Indian Army troops were killed in an engagement late on Friday; security authorities have dispatched drones to find the three to four terrorists believed to be hiding in the Halan Heights region of Kulgam.

According to security personnel, the Indian Army’s Para Special personnel have been sent into the region as part of the ongoing encounter on a seek and destroy operation.

They stated that after receiving information that a gang of three or four terrorists was hiding in the region, security personnel had initiated a coordinated operation in the area, which has thick vegetation and a lot of undergrowth.

They said that security personnel had ramped up their search efforts and were attempting to make contact with terrorists.

Terrorists opened fire on search teams, prompting retaliation from the authorities on Friday.

According to the official, three members of the security forces were hurt in the gunfight, and despite medical attention, they died.
